What Is the Email Raptor
Do you have a mailbox that has so many old emails that it takes hours to try to clean you mailbox? We sure did!
We created our Yahoo! email account over 20 years ago. Over time, we have received so many junk emails that we
would spend hours trying to clean the mailbox. We actually had over 128,000 emails at one time. We would spend 1 hour a day, 3 days
a week to go through and search out old emails that needed to be deleted. Things like marketing emails, Facebook
notifications, and just plain spam messages. Even doing that, it was a losing effort.
At that point, I decided to write a program that would attach to my mailbox and analyze the domains and email addresses
in our mailbox. Once that was done, I grouped the emails to see which domains had the most emails (attack the low hanging
fruit). From there, I made decisions on what should be deleted and what should be saved. Once these decisions were made,
I modified my program to parse the mailbox again and start deleting messages based on those decisions.
From there, the program was modified and grew into the Email Raptor! I am constantly teaching the Raptor how to
process the mail in my mailbox. Now the marketing emails will stay in the mailbox for 7 days to give us time to
read/review them... then the Raptor has its way with them! I have taught my Raptor what to save, what to delete, and
what to file away.
Our mailbox is now down to about 6000 emails and is no longer overwhelming.
Once I started sharing our story, people were asking if they could train the Raptor to work for them too! Many folks
have mailboxes that take too much time to manage... they are wasting valuable time on useless emails. Once you give your email
address to a company, it seems impossible to get off their lists. Now just tell the Raptor that you want them GONE!
The Raptor will do what raptors do... hunt down those messages and destroy them.
